Music has been essential to DJ Chris since childhood.  This might be because his mother told him at an impressionable age that Elvis was his real father.  His actual father is a trombonist, so it could just be genetic.

In addition to deejaying for nearly two decades, DJ Chris writes songs and performs around town and on the road with his folk-rock project, Judson Claiborne. He also works independently as a Music Supervisor for film productions, pitching songs to directors, chasing down music rights owners, balancing music budgets, and negotiating licenses with artists.
